PROGRAM GUIDELINES

  • All taxes will be prepared using the drop off method.
    • You will complete the IRS Intake Sheet and a short one on one interview with one of our staff or volunteers. 
    • You will then leave the tax site and will be contacted as soon as your tax return is completed.
    • You will need to come back to the tax site for final review of your tax return and for the required signatures. 
  • Walk in sites- First come- First served.
  • No appointment needed
  • Indiana and Federal income tax returns
  • Electronic filing
  • Income under $67,000
  • Direct deposit or check by mail
  • Tax sites available daytime, evenings and Saturdays

WHAT TO BRING

Social Security or ITIN cards and Birth Dates: Bring information for you, your spouse, and any dependents you are claiming. NO PHOTOCOPIES ACCEPTED.

Valid Picture ID: If married and filing jointly both spouses must be present and both must bring a picture ID.

Tax Forms: This includes W-2 forms, Unemployment form (1099 G), and 1099 forms for ALL jobs held in 2024.

Correspondence with the IRS: Bring any letter or notice you have received from the IRS.

Bank Account Information: If choosing direct deposit, bring your savings and/or checking account routing numbers.

Rent Information: Landlord name, address, and amount of rent paid in 2024.

Homeowner Information: Bring information about home interest and property tax paid the previous year. 

Child Care Information: If you pay for childcare, bring documentation listing provider name, address, tax ID#, and amount paid. 

Tuition Information: If you, your spouse, or a child attended college bring the Tuition Expense Settlement (1098T) and/or the Student Loan Interest Statement (1098E).

If you have Healthcare Marketplace: Bring Form 1095-A ; IF you haven’t received your form please call the Marketplace at 800-318-2596.

If you have had an Identity Protection PIN issued to you from the IRS in the past, please bring your NEW number for this year. If you have not received your number for this year please contact the IRS at 800-908-4490 to retrieve your PIN number.

DO NOT COME UNTIL YOU HAVE ALL DOCUMENTS FOR THE YEAR!
