Volunteer Lawyer Program needs exceptional volunteers

  The Volunteer Center and the Volunteer Lawyer Program are working together to meet a real need in our community to provide guardianship services to low-income individuals and families in this area.  The need is critical with 30 individuals on the waiting list.  Many of the individuals are among the most vulnerable in our society: those suffering from developmental disabilities, the aging with diminished mental capacity due to dementia and Alzheimer's, and others suffering from mental illness.
Professional training and support is provided by local volunteer attorneys and specialists in the field.  The need is great.

Volunteer Opportunities:

• Intake worker - Take information by way of telephone calls.
• Volunteer Guardians - Short and long term assignments.
